Cavern of Reflections

In a cavern with walls of glass,
I see reflections of times that pass.
Alternate realities within my sight,
A wondrous world of shimmering light.

Each mirror reveals a different tale,
Of lives lived in a parallel trail.
Choices made and paths untrod,
In this labyrinth of illusions broad.

What if I had taken the other road,
Would my life have a lighter load?
Or is it all just a trick of the eye,
These endless mirrors that multiply.

The reflections dance and twist and turn,
In this mystical cavern, I yearn to learn.
About the lives I did not lead,
And the other selves that I might heed.

A labyrinth of possibilities untold,
In this cavern of mirrors, secrets unfold.
As I gaze upon the shards of glass,
I see the echoes of another’s past.
